Preschool Hands-On Snails
- Read this Story:
- The Snail and The Whale
- Talk to kids about snails and how we need to be careful to keep the snails safe
- Hand over the snails to kids and talk about them waking up and everything else I can think of about snails
- Do a Snail Craft
Materials needed: paper, tempera paint, thin sponges, pipe cleaner or string to tie in spiral shape, paper plates, paper towels, water, containers for water, aprons
- If kids seem good with snails, let them put the snails on the papers first and make a trail. Put the snails back and let them trace the trail with their paint and do the rest of the craft.
Note: Bring my Snail Race Bristol Board and number tags just in case we want to race the snails
